Another random ad idea

Monday's Critque

There were alot of great ideas I saw on Monday's critque.   I don't remember whose work they were but I like the ones with the car and the sea turtle.

I got some great ideas to better my work as I was looking at other people's idea and slogans.  I think a catchy slogan will help imprint the ad into the readers head.  The print version of my video ad would look something like:

The above ad is not very pleasing to the eye. However, the point is that oil spills happen. BP stepped up and clean up.

The photo that people most liked was:
We are not crying, we are cleaning the mess.

I was going to reshoot something similar to this photo.  Many people are familiar with the saying: Don't cry over spill milk.  I think this will help ease the whole bp issue. People will hopefully see it as an accident. The accident appears to be over

From viewing other people's work and having the impromptu survey: I need to make something simple yet informative and catchy.

A real head turner would be having (BP) logo and a statement that says We cleaned the oil spill to pens like:

Some other ideas for video ads would be a rapid session of oil spill from the gulf with dates as it transform into current day with a nice blue water...

I was also thinking of finding songs with the mention of gas, fuel, etc...

  1.  AudioSlave Gasoline
  2. Daddy Yankee: Gasolina
  3. Metallica: Fuel
  4. Limp Bizkit: Rolling
I think images that are set to the above song will be more appealing to teens and people in the mid 20's and 30's.  It will grab their attention.

5 different ideas for my topic

Team Work, America! Fuck Yeah

Made in America for Americans

Pumping life into the Economy

Putting People to Work and Cleaning Up America!

We are not crying, we are cleaning our mess.

Video sample 5

I was thinking I can also easily make this into a poster... it might be more hard hitting and direct with a poster.

impromptu survey!

Alot of response I got from this video was "Huh, I don't get!"  A few people were trying too hard because they were trying to find the hidden meaning.  I think what I need to do is to put images. The text did not get the response I was looking for.  I wanted to not mention oil, fuel, or anything close to that...

I think the whole concept is simple and good. However, I am going to get figures and images to go along with the next version.
